So I've made a decision, I'm going to sign up for an online BA(Hons) in Drawing. I've been thinking about it for over a year now and as I've just hit the auspicious age of 40 it's time to get started. I've spoken at length with Dawn and we've worked out how we are going to finance it, so now I don't have any excuses.
In preparation I've done 2 things.
Thing numbered the one. I've set up this website and blog. After reading the course details I've seen a requirement to keep a creative journal, guess what your reading? Also an online portfolio seems like something artists have so here's mine.
Thing numbered the second. I've been taking part in #Inktober2019 to try and instill some good habits and a routine of drawing everyday (even when I can't be arsed and would rather watch golf videos on YouTube). So far so good I'm 14 days in and you can see my efforts in the portfolio section of this very website.
There we have it blog post number one. I little underwhelming and not a great bit of prose but even Dickens had to start somewhere. And anyway I'm a drawist not a writist.
